Changing the face of NHS volunteering

Helpforce is a pioneering charity working to radically improve NHS volunteering to benefit patients, NHS staff and volunteers themselves. They needed strategic support to support the launch of a complex and potentially controversial idea, increase understanding of the role and value of volunteers, and help build participation.
solution
Starting in 2017, we undertook a year-long project to support a phased launch, building depth understanding through priority stakeholders including NHS leaders and volunteer teams.
From there we worked with the team to raise awareness more broadly and in Christmas 2018 we partnered with the Daily Mail, running a concerted campaign to actively encourage members of the public to volunteer.
More recently we’ve been working to consolidate Helpforce’s leadership role in the sector and increase their scale through partnerships.
