We run global communications for TRANSFORM, an impact accelerator led by Unilever, the UK’s Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office, and EY which supports enterprises that are tackling global challenges across Africa and Asia.

TRANSFORM is a unique initiative rooted in collaboration. It helps visionary enterprises test and scale market-based solutions that build inclusive economies, empower marginalised communities, and drive climate-resilient growth. Having helped  over 140 enterprises achieve their ambitions, it wanted to increase recognition of the power of public-private partnership and grow its impact.

Solution

We brought TRANSFORM’s ethos into its communications and developed a three-year strategy that put people-led storytelling at its heart. We now deliver the programme’s action-oriented content, which ranges from videography and photoshoots to high-profile events, research reports, and full management of its social media, press office and website channels.

Alongside content creation, we balance and coordinate multi-stakeholder needs and priorities. We ensure each core organisation is profiled where it matters most – from internally among colleagues to externally through international media, social channels, events and podcasts.

Results include producing a dynamic video for EY’s Executive Summit, which helped to unlock Partners’ involvement with TRANSFORM, and running three successful side events alongside Skoll World Forum with Unilever and EY senior leaders – our most recent, focused on regionalisation, had over 500+ in-person attendees sign up.

We also work closely with the local Unilever and FCDO communications teams and enterprises to amplify lived experiences in India, Bangladesh, East and West Africa. Our local first approach results include running an international press office and securing pieces in the Kenya Star and Fortune Indonesia and placing speakers at high-profile events including Kenya Innovation Week.

We are monitored by a detailed performance framework and have exceeded our KPIs each year.
